The CJA provides for the appointment of a Federal Defender or private attorney compensated under the CJA Plan to represent indigent defendants. The Criminal Justice Act Panel Selection Committee for the United States District Court of Delaware meets every September to consider the recommendation of attorneys to fill any vacancies on the CJA Panel.

As a CJA Panel Attorney, you are entitled to use Defender Services training benefits and resources. Additionally, the Federal Defender's Office for the District of Delaware provides on-going training, office space, and research support for CJA Panel attorneys.
